The Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the one part, and the Southern African Customs Union Member States and Mozambique, of the other part, herein referred to as “SACUM-UK EPA” was signed by both parties on 9 October 2019 and came into effect on 1 January 2021. The SACUM-UK EPA package contains agricultural products to be exported by South Africa into the UK market under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) regime. The Agreement offers South Africa enhanced market access for agricultural products.
