The Compensation Fund (The Fund) in terms of Section 82 of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 1993 (Act 130 of 1993 as amended by Act 61 of 1997), dealing with the annual submission of the Returns of Earnings (ROEs), wish to communicate the following:
| (a) | The submission of the Return of Earnings by employers for the 2025 assessment period will be opened from 01 April 2026 to 30 June 2026. |
| (b) | To encourage Employers to submit their Returns through the Department of Employment and Labour’s ROE Online System platform accessible at www.labour.gov.za, (click on Online Services, ROE Online [cfonline.labour.gov.za]). |
| (c) | A penalty of 10% would be charged for the late submission of ROEs after the prescribed deadline. |
| (d) | Interest will be charged on accounts made after 30 days of the invoice date and on overdue accounts. |
| (e) | It is the employer’s responsibility to notify the Compensation Fund of any change in particulars, such as when the business has ceased to exist, a change in the nature of the business, a change in the physical address of the business, a change in a business’ email address and other contact details, within 7 days of such change. |
