| 3.1 | The minimum wage for the Blanket Section, which an employer shall pay to employees shall be as specified in sub-clause 3.2 below. |
| 3.2 | Every employer must pay each employee a wage that is not less than the minimum wage and/or the National Minimum Wage prescribed in the table below and for the grades as specified in the table below. |
| 3.2.1 | The minimum wage per grade will increase with effect from the coming into operation of this Agreement by 6.6%. |
| 3.2.2 | With effect from the coming into operation of this Agreement the minimum increases per grade applicable to employees will be as follows: |

| 3.3 | The wage differential gap between the Metro and Non-Metro areas has been closed with effect from 01 August 2023 and no further "catch-up arrangement” shall be implemented from 01 August 2024. |
| 3.4 | The references to Metro and Non-Metro areas shall no longer apply and the minimum wages per grade shall apply throughout South Africa. |
| 3.5 | The impact of the National Minimum Wage (NMW) which is reviewed and implemented in March each year has been considered and it is confirmed that the new minimum wages prescribed for the respective grades at at 01 August 2024 are more favourable than the NMW. |
