21. Shift Allowance

21.1A minimum shift allowance of 10%, which shall be non-pensionable, shall be paid to any employee working shifts on the date of this agreement.

 

21.2The minimum shift allowance for nights .as defined at plant level shall be 12%.

 

Where three (3) shifts are worked in a plant, the afternoon or second shift is not "night shift".

 

21.3Status quo will remain on existing plant level arrangements regarding shift work, which includes definitions.

 

21.4 A task team will meet before the end of October 2025 to discuss any possible changes on the shift allowance payable. The terms of reference will be defined by the task team and the task team will not be obliged to issue a finding.
