(1) The normal retirement age for the industry is 60 and 65. An employer may retire an employee at the end of the month in which they turn 60 or at any time thereafter on one months' written notice.

(2) An employer wishing to engage or continue with an employment relationship with an employee beyond the age of 65 must apply for exemption from the council.

(3)Employers may set a retirement age between 60 and 65 at the factory level. If an employer intends to change the established retirement age or introduce one, a two-year notice period must be given to existing employees. This notice requirement does not apply to new employees. If an employee retires before 65 but continues working on a contract basis beyond that age, they shall remain a member of the provident fund until reaching 65.
