Legal Practice Council

THE SOUTH AFRICAN LEGAL PRACTICE COUNCIL

 

The South African Legal Practice Council (“the Council”) hereby issues a notice

 

(a)in terms of Rule 4.1 of the Council Rules made in terms of section 95(1)(a) of the Legal Practice Act, 28 of 2014 (as amended) to prescribe a new amount for the annual fees (inclusive of Value Added Tax) payable by all legal practitioners as required by Rule 4, and

 

(b)in terms of Rule 5.1 of the Council Rules made in terms of section 95(1)(a) of the Legal Practice Act to prescribe a new amount for the fees (inclusive of Value Added Tax) payable in respect of examinations conducted by the Council as envisaged in Rule 5.1.1 of the Council Rules.

 

Effective from 01 January 2026, the annual fees payable by all legal practitioners in terms of Rule 4 and the fees payable in respect of examinations conducted by the Council in terms of Rule 5.1.1 shall be as prescribed in Schedule 1 herein below, inclusive of Value Added Tax.
