The Presidency

 

1. In terms of section 12(1) of the Magistrates Act, 1993 (Act No. 90 of 1993) (hereafter referred to as "the Act"), I hereby determine that the remuneration of the magistrates shall be as set out in the attached schedule with effect from 01 April 2025, subject to the terms and conditions set out herein.

 

2.The total remuneration packages shall include the following elements:
2.1A basic salary component equal to 70% of the total package, which constitutes the pensionable salary;
2.2Pension benefit contribution to the applicable pension fund; and
2.3A flexible portion for the remaining amount of the total remuneration.

 

2.Notice No. 203 published in the Government Gazette No. 51413 of 18 October 2024, is hereby repealed.
