I, Millysind Ruiters, duly designated by the Minister of Employment and Labour in terms of section 27(1) of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993), as the Chief Inspector for purposes of the Act, and acting in accordance with the powers and functions conferred upon me in terms of section 27(2), hereby give notice that all Class II commercial diving schools are exempted from the provisions of Regulation 3(3) of the Commercial Diving Regulations.

This exemption is granted on the basis that the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has ceased registering Class II commercial diving schools.
