In terms of section 92 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999),

I, Enoch Godongwana, the Minister of Finance, hereby in terms of section 92 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), exempt—

(a)	national and provincial departments; and

(b)	government components which apply the modified cash standard,

from complying with section 40(1)(b) of the said Act for a period of five years, with effect from the date of publication of this notice.
