Exemption

 

I, Enoch Godongwana, Minister of Finance, in terms of section 92 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), hereby exempt the Department of Agriculture from section 43(2) of that Act, effective from the date of publication of this Notice until 31 March 2026, in respect of the virement from goods and services and transfers and subsidies under Programme 4: Economic Development, Trade and Marketing to goods and services under Programme 2: Agricultural Production, Biosecurity and Natural Resource Management set out in Schedule 1 to the Appropriation Act, 2025 (Act No. 3 of 2025), in support of the urgent response measures to the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.
