Sugar Act, 1978 (Act No. 9 of 1978)

Each grower and grower group shall, as far as possible, deliver different varieties of cane in separate consignments, each identified by variety in the relevant delivery note. Each mill shall weigh consignments separately and keep a proper record thereof. The Mill Group Board concerned shall, as far as practicable, test the different varieties of cane separately for all elements required so as to arrive at the recoverable value. The Mill Group Board shall collate such data for industrial purposes.
