4. Remuneration

(1)Hourly-rated employee: An employer shall pay an employee in respect of each hour or part thereof (excluding overtime) worked by the employee on any day other than a paid holiday or a Sunday, not less than the hourly wage prescribed in this Agreement:
(a)With effect from the period of operation until 28th February 2027: - R33.27 per hour.
(b)In the event that the National Minimum wage, as prescribed from time to time, exceeds the rate in 4(a), an Employer shall pay an employee at an hourly rate equal to the National Minimum Wage.

 

(2)Despite clause 4 (1), and employee who works for less than six hours on any day must be paid for at least six hours on that day.

 

(3)An annual bonus will be paid to all employees in December provided they have been in continuous employment for three months or longer. If employees are terminated prior to December due to contract expiry, retrenchment, or retirement they will still be entitled to their pro rata bonus.
(a)An employee shall receive a bonus equivalent to one week of the employee's wage multiplied by 4.33 (weekly wage x 4.33);
(b)The prorated bonus will be equivalent to the number of full calendar months service divided by 12 and multiplied by 4.33 times the employee's weekly wage.
