7. General duties of employee aboard vessel

(1)An employee aboard a vessel shall—
(a)take reasonable care regarding the employee's own health and safety and of any other person who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions in connection with the handling, stowage and carriage of dangerous goods in the vessel; and
(b)as regards to any duty or requirement imposed on the employee's employer or any other person by the Act or Regulations with regard to the health and safety of persons aboard a vessel or the environment, to which these Regulations apply, co-operate with such employer or person to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with.

 

(2)If an employee aboard a vessel carrying dangerous goods fails to comply with this regulation the employee is guilty of an offence.
