17. Initiation of own investigations and inquiries

(1) NERSA may, in accordance with the regulations made in terms of the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, read with rule 19 of these Rules, also initiate and conduct its own investigations or inquiries into activities of licensees.

 

(2) Investigations conducted in terms of sub-rule (1) must be initiated within the period of validity of the licence to which the suspected transgression relates.
